Travel_Loboc Wildlife & Nature Park

This is another spot here in Bohol that you might want to visit. I am not recommending it though, however, if you are- you might want to check this place.

I am actually not a fan of a zoo cause I felt that these animals should not be there locked in four corners of a small cage and sadly without any companion.

I actually loved the nature walk and the Tarsier. It was my dream to see one in person aside from the pictures I saw in print and on the screen. And thank goodness it does not disappoint. We did saw at least four and I took a lot of pictures of them.

This place caters to different animals locally and others are imported from other countries. Of course, my daughters were fascinated and enjoyed the tour that we have here. kudos to our tour guide inside this place as he narrates well and gives life to the tour, love his humor.

Let me share some of the photos that I took.

Did you know?
-The name Tarsier was taken from its extremely long Tarsus bone. Its hind limbs are twice as long as its body.
-Their 3rd finger has the same length as their upper arm.

-Tarsiers are amazing jumpers able to jump 4o times more than it's own weight.
-Young Tarsiers are born furred and with open eyes. They can climb within a day of birth.

-Tarsiers can rotate their head 180 to compensate for their immovable eyeballs.
-the 2nd and 3rd toes of their hind limbs bear claws instead of nails used for grooming.

-Tarsiers exhibit the slowest fetal growth rates of any mammal taking 6 months to reach a birth weight of 23 grams.
-Scientist differentiates tarsier species through their song and singing style. Tarsier does sing in high pitched voice.
