Travel_Mag-Aso Falls

A must-see when you visited the Island of Bohol.

This is not usually included in any Bohol day tour itinerary as this is out of the way and can only be visited with a request to your tour guide if you have any. However, you can go here anytime within the day- opens as early as 7AM until 5PM, mind you going here does not disappoint.

Mag‑Aso means smoke in the native tongue. The water is cool and often creates a mist in humid mornings which can hide the falls.

It's crystal emerald green waters were very inviting and will not let you go out from here without as swim.

As Manong Ramil advised us, Mag-aso were not liked this before. The falls were indeed beautiful with its twin falls damaged by the 2013 earthquake that rocked Bohol. A huge pile of stones scattered blocking most of the water paths yet it still is beautiful.

It is easy to go down the 197 steps guarded with metal handrails that lead towards the falls from the clearing. However, going up is not that easy but nothing to worry about as there are intervals where the steps are wider that will allow you to take a rest your wobbly knees, and your crying muscles.
