Beauty in Decay Kawit, Cavite

Saw this lovely old house near the Aguinaldo Shrine when we passed by the area recently.

Can't help but snap a picture of it.

I don't know but old houses always, always, always have a spot in me. They have this charm that even how dilapidated and rusty and old they are it seems still so lovely to look at for me. It just kept me wondering how such beauty had been left just like that?

If only those broken windows, walls, doors, and hallways could speak and tell the stories of people who used to occupy them. The moments of happiness, sadness, death, and mourning are still memories to treasure.

I commented to a friend "Indeed this is a lovely and I think once a wonderful house.

However, due to time and owners who don't mind at all left this house another "Beauty in Decay".

Though it still does not lose its charm". #oldhouse, #beautyindecay, #pholdhouse, #pholdhouses, #oldcavitehouse, #caviteoldhouses, #kawitoldhouse

The beauty of old houses left for decay in Cavite is a unique and intriguing sight that carries a sense of history, nostalgia, and mystery. These decaying structures tell stories of the past, offering glimpses into a bygone era and the lives of those who once inhabited them.

One of the remarkable aspects of these old houses is their architectural charm. Many of them showcase intricate details, craftsmanship, and design elements that are reflective of the time period they were built. From Spanish colonial influences to Bahay na Bato architecture, these houses have a certain elegance and character that can still be appreciated, even in their state of decay.

The passing of time has also added an ethereal quality to these houses. Weathered facades, crumbling walls, and overgrown vegetation create a captivating atmosphere of abandonment and nature reclaiming its space. The interplay between the decaying structures and the surrounding environment can be hauntingly beautiful, evoking a sense of mystery and melancholy.

Moreover, these abandoned houses spark curiosity and ignite the imagination. They invite us to wonder about the lives of the people who once called them home, the stories that unfolded within their walls, and the memories that linger. Exploring these forgotten places allows us to connect with the past and appreciate the rich history and heritage of Cavite.

While the decay may seem sad or melancholic, there is also a certain kind of beauty and fascination in witnessing the passage of time and the natural cycle of life. It serves as a reminder of the impermanence of things and the importance of cherishing our built heritage.

In summary, the beauty of old houses left for decay in Cavite lies in their architectural charm, the ethereal atmosphere they create, and the stories they hold. They serve as windows to the past, allowing us to appreciate the beauty of history and the ever-changing nature of our surroundings.
