iStariray in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (MY)

The Petronas Twin Tower

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Philippines indeed share some similarities in terms of weather, language, and culture. The weather in both countries is typically hot and humid due to their tropical climates. The Malay language and Tagalog language also have some similarities, as they both belong to the Austronesian language family. This similarity can sometimes make it easier for Filipinos to communicate and understand basic Malay phrases.

The people in Kuala Lumpur are known for their warm hospitality, similar to the friendly and welcoming nature of Filipinos. The diverse population in Kuala Lumpur, with a mix of Chinese, Indian, and Malay ethnicities, creates a rich tapestry of culture and traditions. It's interesting to note that many Malaysians have features that resemble those of Filipinos, which can sometimes create a sense of familiarity for visitors from the Philippines.

Rice is a staple food in both Malaysia and the Philippines, and you mentioned enjoying dishes like Nasi Lemak and Nasi Goreng, which are popular Malaysian rice dishes. The cuisine in Malaysia is indeed a delightful fusion of Chinese, Indian, Thai, and Indonesian influences, offering a diverse range of flavors and culinary experiences. This blending of culinary traditions mirrors the multiculturalism and diversity found in both countries.

Overall, the connections between Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines go beyond just geographical proximity, as they share commonalities in weather, language, culture, and cuisine, making it a welcoming and familiar destination for Filipino visitors.

We used this as our primary transport service while roaming the streets of Malaysia. It takes us to tourist places like the Sunway Lagoon, KL Menara, Petaling Night Market, Titiwangsa, Bukit Bintang, and Batu Cave, and the long ride we had is going to Resorts World Genting, Genting Highlands.

Sunway Lagoon is a popular destination for families, groups of friends, and thrill-seekers looking for a fun-filled day of entertainment and adventure.

This hotel was initially known as KL Hilton under the Hilton Worldwide management.
It was renamed in 2004 to Mutiara Hotel following a takeover.

Spent 2 months staying in this hotel which I enjoyed and their service is indeed superb๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
