📣 On Professionalism in Recruitment

Today, I want to share a firsthand experience that highlights the importance of professionalism and courtesy in the recruitment process.

Recently, I applied for a Team Lead Supervisor role that was actively posted on a recruitment page. I was contacted by a recruiter—but to my surprise, it wasn’t about the position I applied for. Instead, I was offered a Quality Analyst role, a position I have held and been trained in before, but did not apply for this time.

What made this more concerning:

There was no clear communication if the Team Lead role was already filled or withdrawn.

Instead of being transparent, the recruiter immediately offered a different role without context or courtesy.

I was then asked to do an on-site interview, which I respectfully declined.

I want to emphasize this:

🔹 If a job is no longer available, be upfront—a simple text or email goes a long way.

🔹 Do not assume an applicant should be “grateful” just because you made the effort to call.

🔹 And please, as recruiters, understand that time and respect go both ways.

Candidates deserve clarity, respect, and honest communication—just as much as companies deserve the right talent.

Let’s all work toward more respectful and transparent hiring processes.

James begins with a clear exhortation: “Be patient.” This command is directed towards believers facing trials, persecution, or struggles. Patience is not a passive resignation to circumstances; rather, it is an active trust in God’s timing and sovereignty.

**2. The Farmer as an Example:**
