Oinkies Cafe

We failed to eat our lunch as we are rushing to the nearest bus station to secure our seats going to Manila. We felt our hunger very disturbing so we decided to go for a quick bite, good thing a tricycle driver offered us a ride to a nearby food stop, without a second thought he led us to Oinkies Cafe.

Per the lady who assisted us, this is a newly built cafe in the town of Bolinao. A tambayan supposed to be in the making that would cater to all ages-old, young, young at heart, pa-Bebe customers, etc. I found the location very accessible. Very cute and fully air-conditioned, I love the interior which is kinda kikay. As of the moment, no wifi available,  yet owners were actually working on it.

I love their food serving- very sumptuous. Food presentations were appealing and really enticing. Prices are not bad at all very affordable and competitive. I ordered a rice meal of Buttered Buffalo Wings for only Php 69.00 + Green Lemonade for only Php 10.00. I also ordered their famous Monster Burger for only Php 150.00 to go since our traveling time to Manila is 6 hours. Mind you guys, this monster burger is indeed a MONSTER!! It is actually as big as a normal plate, and their fillings were satisfying. I love how each meal serving gives you a good experience in their cafe. It's very homey, and their pig pen-style gives me and my chums a feeling of comfort like this is our space.

They also provided selfie-and dedication corners where you and your barkada could strike a pose or just stick a heartfelt dedication to anybody:) Sounds fun isn't it? 

This Cafe is a must when you visit Bolinao. The service and the smiles of the staff in this cafe makes it more inviting to spend your entire day

Patar Rock Formation

Also known as the Bolinao Rock Formation

Been dying to go to this place and I can say a must-see. It would be so boring for others yet calming and refreshing for a nature lover's soul. Sunset is so amazing on this side of Patar, the colors it creates give a different glow in the sky- very mesmerizing. I actually enjoyed every bit of it.

The entrance fee is kinda hefty for the amount of Php 75.00 per head, the area is actually private property. If you would take it from a practical point of view it might not be worth it yet for a person like me- I'll go for it. You will not see a view like this in your everyday life anyway. Since the sun started to go down and the place was covered in darkness the owner advised us to come back the next day for free. 

Alas, we left the place with a smile on my face and plans on my head for the pictures I wanted to take. The place is just on the other side of Patar beach, you could actually see these rock formations from a distance in Patar. I saw a different picturesque of the place in midday, the coral rocks give a much beautiful form created by time. It was low tide when we visited the place so a lot of areas were exposed.

Patar Beach

The Lovely Patar Beach

Aside from beautiful falls, beach rock formation, underground cave, lighthouse- Bolinao is also known for its yellowish sun-kissed Patar Beach. Tagged as the Boracay of Pangasinan this beach has a different story to tell.

Its clear, clean wavy waters make me want this beach even more. I love how un-crowded this place is upon our visit however per local residents the shorelines would be piled up with visitors during summer. I also observed how un-touched the area is- not too commercialized like Aurora. I remembered Boracay like this so calm and inviting back in 2000. Local residents kept the area clean, there is NO Entrance Fee in this place. Those Nipa huts lined up near the shorelines are for rent for the amount of Php 150.00 up to Php 350.00 depending on the size.

You could actually view what's beneath below as the sea waters were so clear and clean. For kiddos, they should not be left unattended since Patar waters were so wavy. If you let me choose between Aurora, I'll go for Patar. Sea Urchin is being sold fresh from the sea for only Php 10.00. It's actually so cheap compared here in Manila per piece is like Php 350.00 to Php 400.00.

We came here on foot from German's place so we have nothing to worry about parking. Not really sure if there's a parking fee imposed.

I enjoyed basking under the sun, I can tell that the water is clean since it does not give me an itchy feeling which I normally get from polluted waters. We actually walked back to our place wet and fresh from Patar beach under the heat of the sun without feeling irritated by the salty waters.
