Ang 7 Huling Wika ni Hesus ๐Ÿ™

Sunset shot from Villar SIPAG C5, Las Piรฑas City

Sunset shot from Villar SIPAG C5, Las Piรฑas City

4. **"Diyos ko, Diyos ko, bakit mo ako pinabayaan?"**
   **Kasulatan:** *Mateo 27:46*

7 Last Words of Jesus Christ ๐Ÿ™

Sunrise shot taken from Barangay Sabang, Sta. Cruz, Zambales

**The Seven Last Words of Jesus Christ**

As we reflect on the profound moments leading up to the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we can learn from His final words spoken from the cross. Each statement is rich with meaning and significance, offering insight into His mission and love for humanity. Let’s explore these seven last words along with their corresponding scriptures:

1. **"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."**
   *Luke 23:34*
This plea for forgiveness reveals Jesus' immense compassion even in His suffering. It reminds us of the power of forgiveness in our own lives.
In this powerful statement, Jesus exemplifies ultimate forgiveness. Despite being mocked, beaten, and crucified, He intercedes for those who wronged Him. This teaches us the profound nature of God's grace. It challenges us to extend forgiveness to others, even when it seems undeserved, mirroring Christ's mercy. Our own journey toward forgiveness can begin by recognizing that everyone makes mistakes and often acts out of ignorance. How might we practice forgiveness in our own lives today?

2. **"Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise."**
   *Luke 23:43*
Spoken to the repentant thief, this promise underscores the immediacy of salvation through faith. It signifies that no one is beyond hope, regardless of their past. Jesus’ words reveal that salvation is accessible to all, particularly those who turn to Him in genuine repentance. This statement ignites hope within us, reminding us to share the message of salvation with others, especially those who feel lost or unworthy.

3. **"Woman, behold your son; behold your mother."**
   *John 19:26-27*
In His final moments, Jesus cared for His mother, showing us the importance of love and responsibility towards our family.
Here, Jesus entrusts the care of His mother, Mary, to the disciple John. This act emphasizes the importance of community and familial connections. Even in His suffering, Jesus prioritized relationships, showing us the value of caring for one another. This calls us to reflect on our responsibilities towards our families and communities. How can we support those around us, especially during difficult times?

4. **"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"**
   *Matthew 27:46*
Expressing His deep anguish, this cry reflects the weight of sin He bore for us, reminding us of His sacrifice and the cost of our salvation.
This cry expresses deep anguish and a feeling of abandonment as Jesus bears the weight of humanity’s sin. It echoes Psalm 22, highlighting both His fulfillment of prophecy and His human experience of suffering. This moment tells us that it is okay to express our feelings of despair and abandonment during hard times. Jesus experienced real emotions, providing a model for us to be honest about our struggles while also trusting in God’s presence.

5. **"I thirst."**
   *John 19:28*
This simple statement reflects His physical suffering but also speaks to a deeper spiritual thirst for humanity to seek Him and His righteousness.
On the surface, this statement reflects a physical need for water. However, it also symbolizes a deeper spiritual thirst. Jesus longs for a relationship and righteousness. As we connect this to our own lives, we are reminded of the ways we seek fulfillment in material things, rather than in Christ. This leads us to question: What are we truly thirsting for? Are we looking for satisfaction in the right places? Jesus invites us to quench our spiritual thirst in Him, the living water (John 4:14).

6. **"It is finished."**
   *John 19:30*
With these words, Jesus declared the completion of His redemptive work on the cross. He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament and paid the penalty for sin once and for all, ushering in grace. This statement gives us assurance that our salvation does not depend on our works but on His finished work. It encourages us to rest in the grace of God, freeing us from the burdens of guilt and performance. We are called to live in the freedom He provides, knowing our salvation is secure.

7. **"Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!"**
   *Luke 23:46*
In His final breath, Jesus surrendered Himself to the Father, teaching us the importance of trust and submission to God's will.
This final word signifies total surrender and trust in the Father, despite the agony He faced. Jesus' commitment to God demonstrates ultimate faith and submission. For us, it serves as a reminder to place our lives in God’s hands, trusting His plans even when they are difficult to see. How can we practice surrender in our daily lives? This could mean letting go of control, fears, or anxieties, and entrusting them to God, who knows what is best for us.

As we meditate on these words, let us remember the sacrifice of Christ and the love He demonstrated for us. Each phrase invites us to reflect on our relationships, our need for forgiveness, and ultimately, the hope we have in Him.

May these 7 Last Words inspire us to deepen our relationship with Christ, extend grace to others, and embrace the hope and salvation that is offered through His sacrifice. Each word holds immense depth and invites us to reflect on our faith, our relationships, and our purpose as followers of Christ. Let us pray for understanding and strength to live out these lessons in our lives.

Join us in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to help us live out these lessons in our daily lives.

Philemon 1:4-21 ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŒฟ

Philemon 1:4-21 ✨๐Ÿ“–
New International Reader's Version

Paul Prays and Gives Thanks
4 I always thank my God when I remember you in my prayers. 5 That’s because I hear about your love for all God’s people. I also hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus. 6 I pray that what we share by believing will help you understand even more. Then you will completely understand every good thing we share by believing in Christ. 7 Your love has given me great joy. It has encouraged me. My brother, you have renewed the hearts of the Lord’s people.

Paul Makes an Appeal for Onesimus
8 Because of the authority Christ has given me, I could be bold. I could order you to do what you should do anyway. 9 But we love each other. And I would rather appeal to you on the basis of that love. I, Paul, am an old man. I am now also a prisoner because of Christ Jesus. 10 I am an old man, and I’m in prison. This is how I make my appeal to you for my son Onesimus. He became a son to me while I was being held in chains. 11 Before that, he was useless to you. But now he has become useful to you and to me.

12 I’m sending Onesimus back to you. All my love for him goes with him. 13 I’m being held in chains because of the good news. So I would have liked to keep Onesimus with me. And he could take your place in helping me. 14 But I didn’t want to do anything unless you agreed. Any favor you do must be done because you want to do it, not because you have to. 15 Onesimus was separated from you for a little while. Maybe that was so you could have him back forever. 16 You could have him back not as a slave. Instead, he would be better than a slave. He would be a dear brother. He is very dear to me but even more dear to you. He is dear to you not only as another human being. He is also dear to you as a brother in the Lord.

17 Do you think of me as a believer who works together with you? Then welcome Onesimus as you would welcome me. 18 Has he done anything wrong to you? Does he owe you anything? Then charge it to me. 19 I’ll pay it back. I, Paul, am writing this with my own hand. I won’t even mention that you owe me your life. 20 My brother, we both belong to the Lord. So I wish I could receive some benefit from you. Renew my heart. We know that Christ is the one who really renews it. 21 I’m sure you will obey. So I’m writing to you. I know you will do even more than I ask.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as we delve into your Word today, we ask for wisdom and understanding to glean valuable insights from the book of Philemon. Open our hearts to receive your message and guide us in applying these teachings to our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen. ๐Ÿ•Š️

๐ŸŒŸ Introduction:
In this passage, Paul writes to Philemon, urging him to forgive and accept Onesimus, his former slave, not only as a servant but as a beloved brother in Christ. The message of reconciliation and love shines through this letter, emphasizing the transformative power of forgiveness and redemption.

๐Ÿ”‘ Key Points:
1. Forgiveness: Paul encourages Philemon to forgive Onesimus for any wrongs committed and to embrace him with love and acceptance.

2. Unity in Christ: Through this reconciliation, Paul highlights the unity and equality found in Christ, transcending social status and past grievances.

3. Transformation: The story of Onesimus illustrates the potential for growth and change that comes through encountering Christ and embracing His teachings.

๐Ÿ’ก Application:
As we reflect on this passage, let us consider how we can embody the spirit of forgiveness, unity, and transformation in our relationships. Let's strive to extend grace and love to others, following the example set by Christ in reconciling us to God.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Closing Prayer:
Lord, we thank you for the powerful message of reconciliation and grace found in the book of Philemon. Help us to live out these principles in our daily lives, showing mercy and compassion to those around us. May we be agents of healing and unity in a world in need of your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Redeeming Love 2022

A Moving Journey of Redemption: Redeeming Love

I recently had the opportunity to immerse myself in the powerful and poignant world of "Redeeming Love," a film adaptation of Francine Rivers' beloved novel. As a fan of the book, I eagerly awaited the cinematic portrayal of this timeless tale, and I can confidently say that it did not disappoint.

"Redeeming Love" takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster as it follows the story of Angel, a young woman trapped in a life of exploitation and hardship, and the relentless pursuit of love by Michael Hosea. The film's stunning cinematography captures the rugged beauty of the American West, serving as a striking backdrop to the characters' tumultuous journey.

See the story plot on this Wikipedia link - Redeeming Love (2022 Film)

The performances in the film are nothing short of exceptional. From the raw vulnerability of Angel, portrayed with remarkable depth by the talented lead actress, to the unwavering compassion and strength of Michael Hosea, each character is brought to life with authenticity and heart. The chemistry between the actors is palpable, drawing the audience into their tumultuous and ultimately redemptive love story.

What truly sets "Redeeming Love" apart is its ability to tackle themes of love, forgiveness, and resilience in a deeply meaningful way. The film doesn't shy away from the darkness and pain that its characters experience, but it also weaves in moments of hope and grace that resonate long after the credits roll. It is a testament to the enduring power of love to heal and transform even the most broken of souls.

As I left my computer desk, I found myself reflecting on the film's profound message of forgiveness and the unyielding power of love to overcome the darkest of circumstances. "Redeeming Love" is a captivating and soul-stirring cinematic experience that will leave you both moved and inspired. It is a story that stays with you, beckoning you to believe in the possibility of redemption and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

"Redeeming Love" is a masterful adaptation that beautifully captures the essence of the original novel. It is a must-see for anyone seeking a stirring and unforgettable portrayal of love's transformative power. I wholeheartedly recommend this film to all who appreciate a compelling, emotionally resonant story.

I Forgive you...

And before this year ends...

I am letting go of all the hurts and pains that happened for this entire year of 2021.

I am releasing forgiveness to those people who have hurt me in one way or another. Especially to that very person who has caused me sorrow, pain, and depression.

When I saw you standing in front of me, I realized that being angry though it's very natural caused by emotions to us being human... is actually not worth any of my tears and misery.

It made me fully understand where the hate, anger, insecurities came from. And why being so foul in your every post and the comment you made about me. Cause it actually reeks what's from the inside being carried over to the outside.

Now it made me understand and I am releasing forgiveness to you...

I forgive you...
for treating me the way you felt about yourself...
