🌿 Our Visit to a Cannabis Store in Bangkok, Thailand: A Curious Step into the Green Scene
During our recent trip to Bangkok, Thailand, we stumbled upon something that caught our attention—not once, but **every few blocks**. Cannabis stores. They were everywhere: from discreet boutiques to flashy neon-lit shops and even infused in drinks, desserts, and spa treatments.
Coming from the Philippines, where cannabis remains strictly illegal, this was both surprising and fascinating. Out of curiosity—and with no intention of promoting usage—we decided to step into one of the stores and learn more.

The shop we visited is called **Canna Venus Stone**, located at **160 Soi Sukhumvit 16, Khlong Toei, Bangkok 10110**. As we walked in, we were greeted by an extremely **friendly and accommodating store owner** who made us feel comfortable and answered all our questions.
The store had a clean, cozy, and modern vibe—more like a wellness boutique than what some might imagine. The products were displayed with clear labels, including THC and CBD content, origin, and strain type (sativa, indica, hybrid).
💬 What We Learned: The Health Side of Cannabis
We were genuinely curious—how is this legal? What are the rules? And what are people really using it for?
The owner explained that **Thailand legalized cannabis for medical use and personal consumption in 2022**, though recreational use still exists in a legal gray area. He emphasized that **responsible use** and **education** are key, especially when it comes to health and wellness.
Some of the medicinal benefits they highlighted:
- 🌙 **Sleep support**: Certain strains help with insomnia and promote relaxation.
- 💆♂️ **Pain relief**: CBD-rich products are often used for muscle and joint pain.
- 🧠 **Anxiety and stress**: Micro-dosing and CBD oils may help with calming the mind.

We were surprised to see how **diverse** cannabis offerings were. Not everyone comes in to smoke—some people try:

in our country, is legal and mainstream elsewhere.
