We remember you....

🕯️✨ Honoring Our Departed Loved Ones: A Visit to the Graveyard This 29th of October ✨🕯️

As the days grow shorter and the air turns cooler, we are reminded of the approaching All Saints' Day – a time when we come together to remember and pay tribute to our dearly departed.
This 29th of October, I ventured to the graveyard with a heavy heart yet a sense of duty to visit the resting places of those who have gone before us.

Walking through the solemn rows of tombstones and mausoleums, I felt a mix of emotions – from nostalgia and reverence to a tinge of sadness. As I knelt down to light a candle and offer a prayer for my beloved relatives and friends who have passed on, memories of shared moments and cherished times flooded my mind.

However, amidst the somber reflection, my gaze fell upon a sight that stirred a different kind of emotion within me. Amongst the well-tended graves and lovingly adorned memorials, there stood neglected and forgotten tombs – unmarked, overgrown with weeds, and bearing inscriptions rendered unreadable by years of neglect and lack of care.

"In the quiet embrace of the graveyard, I offered flowers to those who now reside in eternity.
Yet my heart wept for the unmarked stones, silent testaments to lives forgotten but not lost."- iSTariray23

It was a poignant reminder of the passage of time and the importance of remembering not just our own departed loved ones but also those whose resting places have been forsaken by time and circumstance. Each neglected grave was a silent plea for remembrance, a whispered call for acknowledgment and dignity.

As I stood before these forgotten monuments, I felt a sense of compassion welling up in my heart. I knew that even in death, every soul deserves respect and honor – a simple gesture of remembrance that transcends the boundaries of time and neglect.

Leaving the graveyard that day, I carried with me not just the memories of my own departed loved ones but also a newfound resolve to advocate for the forgotten souls whose resting places have been left untended and unnoticed. I pledged to return and bring solace to these neglected graves, to clear the overgrowth, to clean the tombstones, and to ensure that each soul is remembered and honored in their final resting place.

This 29th of October, as we gather to pay our respects and remember our departed loved ones, let us also spare a moment to acknowledge those who have been forgotten and neglected. Let us shine a light on the unmarked tombs and overgrown graves, and let us offer our prayers and compassion to all souls, known and unknown, who rest in eternal peace.

Manila Memorial Park

Dusk kissing the cemetery grounds. . .

"The hallowed ground of a graveyard holds the fragments of countless stories,
each one a reminder of the rich tapestry of human existence."

"As flowers bloom upon gravestones,
they serve as a gentle reminder that life finds its way even amidst the echoes of the past."

"Amidst the somber silence,
a graveyard becomes a sanctuary for reflection,
inviting contemplation of life's purpose and meaning."

"In the labyrinth of gravestones, we find solace,
connecting us to our roots and reminding us of the legacy we leave behind."

Recovery Foods

Just recently, I and my buddy Olah went out on a graveyard morning date here in Alabang. It was not long ago when Alabang is a barren field full of tall grasses, trees, and no nightlife can be found.

However as time passed by hotels, office buildings, and condominiums started sprouting in this side of the metro.

So, just only last year I got so blessed to be employed in a company that has an extension office here in Alabang. I choose to be assigned in Alabang and be in Makati once every week.

I am indeed so amazed how the area has been changed over the years and good thing I might have enjoyed nightlife down south.

So, Olah and I roamed around looking for a place where we could hang out and of course, dine while catching up with our lives and we found this food hub Recovery Foods appealing amongst the others.

Their menu selections were unique and very comprehensive.

We ordered the following:
Raumen    Php 240.00
  - Ramen Noodles, RF's peanut-based broth, with mild spice

SST    Regular Php 180.00 / Full RF Php 280.00
  - Spicy Sweet Tuyo, scrambled egg, or fried rice

Tapa De Morning Regular Php 180.00 / Full RF Php 260.00
  - Homemade Tapa, scrambled or fried egg, Ensalada, rice

Tuna Melt Sandwich Php 155.00

Upgrade to Brown rice Php 55.00

And for our drinks
House Blend Iced Tea
  - By Glass Php 49.00 / Bottomless Php 65.00
We did go for the bottomless

I also ordered a hot green tea for Php 60.00

Not bad for our graveyard moring date lah! my reviews are below and hope it would help some of you who haven't tried Recovery Foods yet😉.

This food hub is located at the back of Molito Mall and opened 24/7.

Very accessible I may say and  I don't like the combination of brown rice and tuyo is not pleasing.

This food hub also has its own goodies for you to take home like bottled tuyo, dillis, tinapa some sweets as well.

LIKES: Open 24hours, menu prices were competitive, the tuyo and brown rice combination are not yummy though healthy, Free WIFI just ask for a password to the server or counter, well lighted-though not well ventilated as they already closed the airconditioned upstairs.

DISLIKES: 2nd floor was closed on our visit, our food orders were not delivered all together, need to advise to refill our bottomless iced tea, the parking lot would be scarce during peak hours or days such as dinner/weekends.

Overall, I give this 3 Stars!! and 4 spoons!!!

Keep it up, I hope on my next visit I could give you 5 stars and 5 spoons.
