For the love of those written thoughts in pages bounded together with love.... istariray23

Way back then, when the Internet and gadgets were nowhere to be found one of the things that makes me happy aside from scribbling my thoughts in my diary is to "READ". 

Yes, reading makes me happy! It enriches my imagination to create the world of the author described in his/her written thoughts bounded together in a hardbound book that I saw in the library. I can't buy books as my life status does not allow me to even have one. So what the heck, if I can borrow it from the library :). Yet, of course, the latest releases can only be found in a bookstore and it will count months before you'll find it on the Library shelf. Nonetheless, I can still read a copy of the book :).

As years passed by, there were short stories, novels, poems, and prose that stuck in me and were part of my growing-up years. Whenever there was a chance that it crossed my mind, I still tried to search and look for these stories and authors that oh, made my childhood-teen days so sweet.

Venice Grand Canal Mall

Just recently, went out to visit this mall with kiddos. Love the mall design exteriors and interiors. It captured the beauty of the infamous Floating City- "Venice in Italy" and the replica in Macau.

I indeed can't stop taking pictures and selfies as my background was pleasing to the eye. This mall boasts a European- 2 story shopping mall with a lovely flowery floor design that I believed can be changed anytime for any theme the mall will be presenting. Added to that, this mall is surrounded by condos and hotels that would make it very convenient to those far-away visitors who wished to stay for a while. 

This mall marked as one of the must-see places within the metro. Let me share with you my take on this cutie mall in the heart of Taguig.

Turned On: 

Love the view- Interior, Exteriors were superb- 1st in the PH, the concept of the European shopping mall has been captured in here, well lighted, well ventilated(inside the mall), the flooring was decorated that adds beauty inside the mall, a lot of food cafes serves Italian cuisine which is very customized to the theme, the lighting used gives a more dramatic effect to the place.

Turned Off: 

Parking is very challenging, needs more children-friendly cafes and a playground, a nice outside ventilation would also add refreshment to lessen humidity.

1st day of school be like...

I woke up early today and prepared up kiddos for school. 

1st, day of school starts today, kinda happy and really excited for them. 

I started ironing their school uniform yesterday and reminding them to place their things in their bag so that they won't miss or left anything.

Familia Bautista-Alejandro Memoir

Just recently,

I found this ultra-big Bible in our old house back in Kalikasan Homes. I can say that it stood a lot of rain, sun, weather conditions, births, and deaths. Its once hardbound cover still serves its purpose to be a protector of the pages bound together and stood the test of time.

My eldest sister Twinkle told me that she saw this Bible when she was 11 years old in Iligan City from the old house of the Alejandro Family. My grandmother Nanay Violy used to keep this bible until my mom took possession of it and brought it home. Just like my mom, I always- always had this feeling of being nostalgic for old things that I know hold the memory of one's generation- if only these things could speak and share with me stories of their importance used to be back then.

From the moment I saw the pages of this bible- it stirred up the usual interest and curiosity that I have for old special things. It always made me feel that it holds memoirs of the Bautista-Alejandro Family, and since I am doing the family tree of the Bautista-Alejandro-Cabrera-Cencilla Family I feel the sense of preserving vital information that our younger generations could look back.

Las Piñas Foot Bridges

Not too long ago Las Piñas City had escalator footbridges all over its major highways/roads for pedestrian crossing. Just recently, a major transformation has been made to these footbridges and I can say that they indeed did a really excellent job.

I loved its new appearance, it is well-lit, well well-ventilated as it is now very open-air with the luscious greens surrounding it. I also loved how the stairway steps have been divided into small manageable steps really good for kiddos. They also placed garbage bins located on both far ends of each entrance/exitway. Its overall appearance is very eye-catching due to its color white body paint visible during nighttime. 

I give it 5 stars as my overall rating on this project.

Kudos to a job well done to those city government officials who are behind this project.
