Online Penpals

I am currently visiting my old blog and tried some links that have been my blog ingredients way back then. There is this one special site where I met my online spiritual brother way back in 2002 or 2003.

We were able to communicate, exchanging emails, do chat over yahoo messenger, and met him here in my country Philippines where he married another Pinay. We became best of friends and lost contact for about 10 or 11 years and just only last year we were able to communicate once again via Facebook.

I might be visiting this site once again and post my own profile :) with caption...

"I am currently looking for an online friend whom I could exchange emails, pray and have fellowship with" :)

Mind you, having online friends gave me comfort back then. Hearing them out, venting to them, and knowing how are they doing indeed made me smile.

Gavino's Donuts

A new name in the doughnut industry- Gavino Japanese Donuts

Recently, there have been a lot of doughnuts, and donut invasions happening and this is the 1st time I will try these little cutie Japanese Donuts from Gavino. Love the color of their donuts and I must say what makes it apart from the rest is that it is chewy and gooey in texture. And of course very Asian in their flavors. One of those little munchkins reminds me of the butchi because of the filling it has.

I grew up knowing Dunkin as the only name in the field of doughnut industry however as time passed by a lot of competitors arose far exceeding what the name could give.

Best Gift Ever | Happy Mother's Day!

I got home yesterday and my youngest opened the gate for me greeting me "Happy Mother's Day Mami! I have a gift for you- she handed me a little pink paper bag and then gave me a kiss.

She was actually standing in front of me waiting to open her gift. I told her I would open it later because I was pretty sure that it was very special. Then she smiled and ran away with her cousins to play.

This is actually the very moment that I always keep on telling my kids that gifts are always, always come from the heart. Because not all things can be bought with money. Thank you dear LORD that my daughters bear this in mind.

It's priceless that I got a handmade Mother's Day card from Sweet Heart. I really appreciate it. At a young age, she developed how to care and remember that expensive things and gifts are not always the things that make a person happy. 

Simple hugs and kisses and concern and care can cover it up all.

It was during those times that blog walking or hopping is very rampant and exchanging links was indeed fun as you were able to find friends and link their blogs to your own site. I miss those days and really hope it'll do the same as today. People nowadays seldom read personal blogs anymore as online gaming and social media took their place and often occupy one's mobile. Kinda sad yet I am still hopeful with crossed fingers that there is still somebody out there still does blog hoppin' and walking.

Happy Mother's Day!

Got a lot of greetings since yesterday in my FB timeline and of course one of the most celebrated occasions around the globe today is Mother's Day.

Hate to say that this one too is also been commercialized over time or perhaps the real essence of this day has been put into a more commercial gesture. Like pampering your mom on this day, give her gifts, and so on. Well, can't agree to disagree but still thankful that a special day like this has been given to honor and remembered all the mom out there. 

Should we not do this every day and be thankful to our lovely mothers each and every day? Because I normally do this every day, I am thankful to my mom that she is there for my kids and of course to me and my sibs. Those daily tasks she keeps doing for us without anything in return were indeed a blessing. Thank you is not enough to cause your dedication and love to us is far greater than any man could give us.

We are forever thankful to the Lord Almighty for giving you as our mom. No one can ever be compared to the sacrifices and love you have given us. Happy Mother's Day Mamita!
