Opened to the public last year 2020 amidst NCOV19 Pandemic.
Gapan Mayor Emerson Pascual initiate this project to promote tourism in the area. Stating that "Gusto nating ibahagi at makita nang mga kabataan natin ang maganda at maayos na pamumuhay nang mga sinauna nating ninuno sa bahaging ito ng Pilipinas".
They were so lovely to look at and still do not lose the old charm that they had before. It is a very nice idea to change the pathways and the street into a cobbled street like what we had in Intramuros Manila.
It gives a Madrid, Spain feel during the old days.
I love how the effort of the entire street restoration and beautification has been made as it gives highlights on how beautiful and lovely those old houses are.
Every detail has been restored to give life, to preserved parts of the house for a longer period of time, while others were left untouched that still gives its old beautiful self to be admired.
There is no entrance fee being imposed however for certain houses they collect donations for you to take pictures of their old house interior. The money they collected was used for maintenance.
It's like you are walking the old street of Manila way back in the Spanish era.
And I think it would be much better to wear your Filipiniana and have some pictures taken in any and every corner of these streets as it is all IG-worthy.
Because as soon as you set your foot on it- it will give you that feeling of walking back in time.
Where life is simple and this kind of beautiful house is owned by the rich and affluent part of the society. Where they thrive in a street now known as the Lumang Gapan.
This is indeed a very good project of the Gapan LGU as this will boost tourism in their area and promote our very culture and heritage.
So anu pang hinihintay nyo, Tara na sa Gapan!
