Saying Good bye to my Google+ Account

Got an email from Google yesterday (01.02.19 Saturday) reminding me of the G+ shut down.

I felt sadness when I first heard this news last year 2018. I love my G+ page since it is a combination of IG, Blog, Tumbler, Tweeter, and Facebook in one. My audience is not that big however it created a little world for me.

There are communities that I joined and gained friends by submitting my works and gaining likes from people across the globe. I met different people from all walks of life in my G+ and indeed it is sad to say goodbye to an app that has been part of your daily rant in life.

What I also liked from my G+ is that I could make different folders that segregates different types of my works that I want my audience to see. Like post from my blog, my Hugot Collections, Caught on my Cam- collections of photos that I took from my mobile phones, At Iba pa- caters my post from my blog and my Life Story in Pictures were a collections of my personal life.

I'll gonna miss my G+ pages and indeed what I had there will never be the same on any social apps available. I do not have Facebook cause I prefer to have G+ instead, the experience, the post, the friends, the communities will never be the same anymore after G+. The same feeling that I got when Google abolished Google Picasa. Google Picasa used to be a great photo app, if Google let it stayed in the online world available up to this time. It's just so sad why they need to abolish it instead of making something new out of the ordinary that it offers. Like Snapseed, it does not have the great photo editor before yet they let it stayed in the market until such time that they made whooping photo editing tools and they make it user friendly.

Hope Google do have the same ideology that good apps takes time and does not need to be abolishes right away. All they need to do is to make some improvements that will make their apps stand out in the market.

By the way, here's my G+ introduction...

I fear GOD, value life. I am a single mom of two, a daughter, a friend, a wanderer. #istariray23photography #istariray23moments #istariray23travel

Friends would be good! It's really nice to have lots of friends to communicate with and to hear from them. It bridges the gap in one's culture, beliefs, and traditions. However, if they are looking for more than friends I am sorry I won't be able to give that to you.

This G+ of mine has been created to open a door to share my interest and love in photography. I am NO Pro however I took any pictures of anything that interest me. I love taking pictures of my daughters as they are one of the many reasons that give meaning to my life. I love taking selfies as this gives me proof that I am indeed alive and happy. Yes, I am a single mom and I am not looking for a mate. If you are trying to find it here I am sorry this is not the place. I actually applauded people who find love over the net however it does not work for me. I suggest do not look for a mate over the internet just turn around you and perhaps the right person is just beside you waiting :).

I love visiting G+ pages as this gives me learning on how to get a much better angle in taking pictures and appreciate. I also have an Instagram account. I liked G+ as this is like a photo album and a blog in one.

So do not be surprised if I left a + mark on your pictures as I stumbled upon it, I like it, and appreciate it. :)

Please feel free to leave suggestions and comments on my page however do not forget to show RESPECT to everyone.

Again, thank you for stopping by, and have a blessed day! :)

The email that I got from Google reminding me of the G+ closure this coming April 2, 2019. Indeed while reading it made me shook my head several times. I will surely miss my G+ pages...

Your personal Google+ account is going away on April 2, 2019

You've received this email because you have a consumer (personal) Google+ account or you manage a Google+ page.
In December 2018, we announced our decision to shut down Google+ for consumers in April 2019 due to low usage and challenges involved in maintaining a successful product that meets consumers' expectations. We want to thank you for being part of Google+ and provide the next steps, including how to download your photos and other content.

On April 2nd, your Google+ account and any Google+ pages you created will be shut down and we will begin deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts. Photos and videos from Google+ in your Album Archive and your Google+ pages will also be deleted. You can download and save your content, just make sure to do so before April. Note that photos and videos backed up in Google Photos will not be deleted.
The process of deleting content from consumer Google+ accounts, Google+ Pages, and Album Archive will take a few months, and content may remain through this time. For example, users may still see parts of their Google+ account via activity log and some consumer Google+ content may remain visible to G Suite users until consumer Google+ is deleted.

As early as February 4th, you will no longer be able to create new Google+ profiles, pages, communities, or events.
See the full FAQ for more details and updates leading up to the shutdown.
If you're a Google+ Community owner or moderator, you may download and save your data for your Google+ Community. Starting early March 2019, additional data will be available for download, including author, body, and photos for every community post in a public community. Learn more

If you sign in to sites and apps using the Google+ Sign-in button, these buttons will stop working in the coming weeks but in some cases may be replaced by a Google Sign-in button. You'll still be able to sign in with your Google Account wherever you see Google Sign-in buttons. Learn more
If you've used Google+ for comments on your own or other sites, this feature will be removed from Blogger by February 4th and other sites by March 7th. All your Google+ comments on all sites will be deleted starting April 2, 2019. Learn more

If you're a G Suite customer, Google+ for your G Suite account should remain active. Contact your G Suite administrator for more details. You can also expect a new look and new features soon. Learn more
If you're a developer using Google+ APIs or Google+ Sign-in, click here to see how this will impact you.

From all of us on the Google+ team, thank you for making Google+ such a special place. We are grateful for the talented group of artists, community builders, and thought leaders who made Google+ their home. It would not have been the same without your passion and dedication.
